HOʻOULU LAKA – Protocol and Training
The following are Protocol Training Dates for various locations in Hawaiʻi, the U.S. Continent and Japan. The training takes approximately twelve hours. Please bring the following to the training:
- Practice Paʻū skirt or pareu for wahine and kane
- Ipu heke & pale
- Lunch, snacks and water
- Kumu Hula and Hoʻopaʻa bring Ipu Heke, and Pahu Drum.
- Smart phone or recorder to record chants for training purposes only
- Pen or pencil
- Cost varies according to the local host

Please plan to bring your lunch as there will be a lunch break scheduled. Water jugs will be available to refill hydro-flasks as needed. Recording devices are allowed.
